Youth Services
There are many things that make credit unions different from other financial service providers. One of these differences is our mission to assist members with their financial well being beyond simply offering low fees and great rates.
Recent surveys and polls have been filled with disappointing news regarding the lack of basic financial knowledge among many young people today. That lack of knowledge is directly related to financial problems these young adults may face later in life, such as bankruptcy and difficulty in obtaining affordable credit. We want to do everything we can to help change that.
Young people are consumers who control billions of dollars in economic activity. We want to spotlight how they earn, spend, save, and manage their money, and how credit unions can and do help them do that wisely. Credit unions are dedicated to promoting prosperity for individuals and, through them, their communities.
We invite all eligible young people in our community (newborn to 18) to join with us to explore, learn and grow in financial management skills. It could really pay off! The minimum balance for the Share Savings Account is only $5. Contact a FLFCU Member Service Representative today to open an account for your children and/or grandchildren today!
