We have been made aware of a telephone scam (both home and cell phone numbers) that recently targeted Auburn Community FCU. People are receiving an automated message claiming that Auburn Community FCU has suspended their VISA credit card and instruct them to call an 800 number to reactivate their card. When the person calls the number, they are prompted to dial in their account number and other personal information.
Please note that Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union will never initiate a call asking you for your card number, card expiration date, or Personal Identification Number (PIN).
